Course summary

Explore criminal behaviour, policing and criminal justice, and cultivate a deeper understanding of our current responses to crime on this qualifying law degree. The course is recognised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board as meeting the academic requirements of your legal training, and completion will enable you to undertake further study in order to become a solicitor or barrister. As part of your course, you’ll:

  • Develop your understanding of case law and legislation
  • Engage with key criminological theories and concepts relating to crime, victimisation, responses to crime and deviance
  • Develop legal analysis skills
  • Have access to a wide range of law textbooks online for free through Law Trove, a subscription-only service offered by Oxford University Press
  • Have the opportunity to be mentored by an industry expert
