Encouraged to become a self-reflective practitioner, you will explore your feelings, attitudes and personal relational issues in order to evaluate and further refine your abilities. You will enhance your understanding of social and cultural differences and values while analysing ethical dilemmas found in the profession. This will give you the ability to work effectively and sensitively with clients from a variety of backgrounds. Even if you have limited experience in interpersonal and counselling practice, this course will provide you with the fundamentals needed to enter this rewarding field. Entry requirements

Applicants should normally have at least a 2nd Class Honours degree and have completed a face to face short course in Counselling Skills (at least 12 hours study). All suitable candidates will be required to attend an interview as part of the selection process. All applications should be supported by a reference, either academic or professional. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum 5.5 in each component) or equivalent.
