Course summary

The Law LLB (Hons) degree offers you a sound understanding of the foundations of legal knowledge, which must be successfully completed at the academic stage of your legal career as well as offering you an opportunity to explore other exciting areas of law. The core modules meet the requirements of a Qualifying Law Degree (QLD) as you progress to the vocational stage of your career where you will either undertake the Solicitors Qualifying Examinations (SQE) or the training requirements of the Bar Standards Board, if you intend to pursue a career as a solicitor or barrister. However, the degree will also equip you with skills and knowledge to pursue a range of different graduate careers. Our degree offers an opportunity to develop sound legal knowledge alongside practical legal and transferable skills. In addition, our LLB students are offered the opportunity to develop key employability skills in the real world. Our LLB is distinctive in offering the rare ability to undertake Professional Practice Placements in each year of the degree, allowing students to gain invaluable experience in the workplace.
