Business Management at Heart of Worcestershire College - UCAS

Course summary

This globally recognised level 5 vocational qualification covers all the essential subject areas required to become successful in business and management. As well as a sound understanding of the theory, you will develop leadership potential, employability skills, personal attributes and professional behaviours that are needed in the modern business environment. The delivery of this course is one day of taught sessions per week, culminating in written assignments for each module. In addition, approximately 10 hours per week personal study is required which is supported by Pearson approved online resources. Support sessions and tutorials will also be available.

Qualification requirements

Mature applicants (over 21 years) may present a more varied profile of achievement that is likely to include extensive work experience (paid and/or unpaid) and/ or achievement of a range of professional qualifications in their work sector. Applicants whose first language is not English must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the English language at a minimum level of CEFR Level B2/PTE 51/IELTS 5.5 (reading and writing must be at 5.5) or equivalent standards.

Additional fee information

Visits may be arranged to support the curriculum. A recommended budget of £25 per academic year should be made available by students. Students may be required to purchase additional textbooks.

Sponsorship information

Heart of Worcestershire College is offering Boost Awards to all first year full time HE students. If you are applying for your first year of your first Higher Education course and have “Firmly” accepted an offer of a place on a HE programme at Heart of Worcestershire College as your first choice (not insurance) you may be eligible. To be eligible you must meet the national criteria: • Normally resident in England • Have a household income of less than £25,000 (as assessed through Student Finance England) • Self funding, not sponsored by an employer, the NHS nor the Training and Development Agency for Schools. Please note that due to the limited nature of these funds meeting the criteria does not equate to an entitlement to the Boost award. Each application will be considered by the panel of senior staff based on the information provided.
