Course summary

Our International Management MSc programme will give you an in-depth understanding of the different national, institutional and cultural contexts in which firms operate, whilst developing essential analytical skills to prepare you for a career in the global economy. Representing a joint programme delivered by The Institute for International Management and The School of Business and Economics, our MSc International Management programme offers a fascinating insight into global business perspectives. You will gain an in depth understanding of the different national and cultural contexts in which firms operate, whilst developing and enhancing your analytical and research skills. On this programme you will also gain a broad, analytical and integrative understanding of diverse national contexts and their effect on economic activity around the world. Studying how emerging markets contexts influence the strategies of firms operating in these countries and will discover how to apply this knowledge to real life examples. The Institute is actively engaged in international research projects concerning the globalisation of economic activity and the implications for patterns of work, sustainability, risk and governance. It has also developed considerable expertise and collaborations in a range of emerging market economies including Argentina, China, Brazil, and Kenya. Entry requirements

A 2:2 honours degree (minimum of 55% overall) or equivalent international qualification in any subject area.


English language requirements

English Language requirements: IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in each subtest (Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking) or equivalent.

The tuition fees shown are for new students commencing the first year of study in the specified year only. The fee stated is for a full-time student undertaking a master’s programme of 180 credits. Part-time students, or those taking a postgraduate certificate or a postgraduate diploma, should divide the published fee by 180 credits and then multiply by the number of credits they are taking to calculate their tuition fees. Fees are reviewed annually and are likely to increase to take into account inflationary pressures.
