Course summary

We are seeking accreditation for this course to be a HTQ. The course is delivered through a multidisciplinary approach where a range of topics are taught by not only staff from SASS, but a range of health and social care professionals (e.g. nurses, allied health practitioners, family support workers, youth workers, social workers etc.). This means the learning will benefit from expert knowledge from those with real experience of working in the health and social care sector as well as research-active staff. The course will enable you to progress to a Foundation Degree as a Children, Young People and Families Manager As a practitioner, learners will be expected to be working with children, young people and families, in a variety of settings to achieve positive and sustainable change in their service-users’ lives. The course offers the opportunity to specialise as a Practitioner in Children's Residential Care or a Children, Young People and Families Practitioner within the Community.
