Course summary

Our postgraduate research programmes in Nuclear Engineering offer the opportunity to study in a multi-disciplinary team alongside leading academics in the field. Drawing on our expertise in fuel and reactor technology, nuclear graphite, welding technology and nuclear decommissioning we drive innovative solutions focusing on the pressing need to deliver low carbon, secure and affordable energy. International applicants

This course has a subject classification which requires students whose nationality is outside the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland to have an ATAS certificate, irrespective of country of residence at the point of application.

Entry requirements

Our minimum academic requirement is a Second Class UK Honours degree in a discipline directly relevant to the MPhil. Equivalent international degree qualifications are also acceptable.
