Course summary

This is a programme leading to a Certificate of Higher Education in Professional Healthcare Management (university first year equivalent) awarded by Liverpool John Moores University. This is a free-standing qualification for students wishing to gain the knowledge and skills needed to operate as a Professional Manager in the Healthcare sector. It also provides the first part of two Foundation Degrees (second year university equivalent) that take this knowledge to a higher level. Students who successfully complete this CertHE will have the option to progress to either the FdA Professional Healthcare Management or the FdA Professional Healthcare Management with Informatics. The Management pathway emphasises Management and Human Resources issues whereas the Informatics pathway emphasises IT, Data Analysis and Data-Informed Healthcare. All awards are available through full-time or part-time study and timetables are designed to minimise the number of times that a student would need to travel to College.
