On this course, you'll learn advanced and current techniques inspired by theoretical knowledge and experimental animation practices. You'll apply this knowledge to develop your own innovative and distinctive animation portfolio. When you graduate, you'll have the exprience you need to build your own artistic practice and collaborate with sectors that require specific creative skills. How you learn All our courses are designed around a set of key principles based on engaging you with the world, collaborating with others, challenging you to think in new ways, and providing you with a supportive environment in which you can thrive. The course is taught in a studio-based environment that enables you to develop industry standard skills in relation to a wide range of different roles. You'll take part in a combination of self-directed and set project briefs, allowing you to develop your own skills while devising innovative, experimental ways of working in animation. Applied Learning Networking Opportunities You'll benefit from a programme of guest speakers, as well as various relevant networking events throughout the year. The Media Arts and Communications 'Pathways' networking event brings industry professionals from a wide range of areas in the creative sector. You have the opportunity to gain valuable insight into current industry practice, make connections with industry and arts organisations and take advantage of the various opportunities that are provided. The course also provides you with the opportunity to engage with local industry, as well as established creative media festivals and events, arts venues and galleries.

Normally an undergraduate degree at 2:2 or above, in a related field.
