This three year degree course introduces students to media make-up, hair and special effects for production. The course offers an insight into the Television and Film industries covering a wide range of skills for success working in these fields. There are work placement opportunities for the students and industry visits across a broad range of production companies. These opportunities are often available due the increasing industry links associated with this course. The aim of this course is for students to develop a wide range of skills in Hair, Media Make-Up and Special Effects supported by the extensive facilities made available to them. The skills acquired over the three years of study, together with the possible work placements will equip students with the necessary expertise to enter into a career in the production arts. This degree course has developed a reputation of expertise within the industry. The subject specialist lecturers have already amassed years of industry experience which has been essential to deliver the skills required by industry to help secure employment.
