Course summary

This course is designed to deliver a structured and professionally accredited programme of study, which primarily provides graduates of a non-associated degree with the core technical knowledge and skills leading to Chartered membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) as a property surveyor.

Modules

Real estate economics and valuations; strategic estate management; real estate law; real estate investment and development; managerial finance for the built environment; sustainability for the built environment; dissertation.

Assessment method

We assess your work through a variety of coursework assignments, including essays, reports, surveys and presentations. There are some oral exams but no traditional, written examinations. We also encourage you to do 'formative work' to prepare for assessment. This does not count towards final marks, but the feedback you receive helps improve your performance.
