The Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Business Studies is designed to develop you into skilled and qualified leaders, as demanded by today’s employment market. The BA (Hons) Applied Business Studies is an intellectually challenging degree which develops the knowledge, skills, and behaviours to create versatile, forward thinking, critical thinking, academically prepared, employable graduates. The programme develops a comprehensive understanding of contemporary business theories and practices. Moreover, through the programme, you will gain knowledge of the critical aspects of business and management, including general management, finance, human resources, and marketing. Sustainability, logistics and corporate social responsibility are explored in detail, preparing graduates to tackle the challenges of the contemporary business environment. This degree acknowledges the necessity of continuous professional and personal development in the business contexts of the future. The degree develops skills of reflection and reflexivity to equip you with the ability to undertake autonomous life-long learning. The BA (Hons) Applied Business Studies degree will provide you with excellent capabilities to pursue a career within Business Management. The course will expose you to various disciplines, you will feel confident to take on new challenges in your career. Modules
Programme Structure Programmes within Lincoln International Business School are made up of a number of modules. Each module carries credits which contributes to your final degree. Modules are either 15 or 30 credits. Usually, students study 60 credits per semester, typically this comprises four taught modules in each semester over 3 years. Within our revalidated programme you are able to ‘step-off’ programme and achieve a Certificate in HE or a Diploma in HE – more information is available from the course team upon request. Year 1

Assessment method
Daytime sessions are on campus; evening sessions are a mix of on campus and on-line delivery. Teaching includes a combination of lectures, seminars, workshops, guest lectures and one to one discussions with your teaching team both face to face and online. Our programme offers a unique approach to interactive teaching to enhance your learning. Lectures are formal information sessions. These are designed to introduce key topics and give guidance around your reading. Seminars are more informal sessions and include student and tutor led discussion and activities. Students will receive classes for 4 modules per week throughout this course. Additional one-to-one meetings with the academic teaching team will provide further support. Further support is available from the ADAPT Team.
