Course summary

Our MSc in International Business Management prepares you for a huge variety of business roles in a global context, whether you're interested in entrepreneurship, global innovation, corporate strategy, consultancy or multinational management. Our staff and students are drawn from all over the world with widely varied expertise, making this MSc a truly international programme. The course looks toward future trends in business, from the changing role of business in society to the impact that rapidly evolving technology has on business in a global context. We train you to be mobile across different markets in high-tech, knowledge-intensive industries; remain flexible in the face of technological change, and maintain an international outlook as the world evolves. You'll learn about the way businesses can adapt to new challenges, from the importance of sustainability in the face of climate change to the rise of robotics and the Internet of Things. Based in University Square Stratford, close to the commercial and financial centres of the City of London and Canary Wharf, you will benefit from fantastic facilities in a purpose-built learning environment. The course is designed to resonate with people from a variety of backgrounds, so you won't need to have specific academic or work experience. Throughout the degree, you will develop crucial analytical, research, and communication skills as you work on projects with your fellow students and undertake your own original research. Assessment method

You'll be assessed through a mixture of different methods, allowing you to develop multiple study skills and demonstrate your abilities in a variety of ways. Seminars and interactive case studies characterise this course. Each module is assessed separately - typically, there are two pieces of assessment for each taught module, so that you will have four assessments to complete in each term. One will be an examination, one a group project, and others coursework. All students have to complete a dissertation. All assessments count towards your Master's award.


Entry requirements

A 2.2 Honours degree in any discipline or recognised international equivalent. We would normally expect you to have Grade C in GCSE English and Maths. Overall IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 6.0 in Writing, Speaking, Reading and Listening (or recognised equivalent). We will consider the Level 7 BTEC Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership acceptable.
