Course summary
Who is it for? For students wishing to continue studying after completing HNC, the Higher National Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering covers the fundamental concepts, principles and theories of Electrical & Electronic and Instrumentation & Control engineering; analysis and design; practical and technical skills, and transferable business skills relevant to Engineering. It is offered as a progression route from the HNC Electrical & Electronic programmes. It is designed to enhance the mathematical, practical and team leading skills of individuals who want to further their career as an Engineering Professional. The HND is awarded by Pearson's.
Modules
What will I study? All the units we offer have been chosen to meet a broad range of local industry needs. Common Units: Research Project, Professional Engineering Management, Further Mathematics. • Electrical/Electronic Units: Industrial Systems, Industrial Power Electronics and Storage.
Assessment method
Assessment will be by Assignment, and will combine, essays, with practical activities and filed trips to relate theory to practical and enable case studies to be used.
