The dynamic environment of fashion buying provides diverse, challenging and exciting opportunities in roles such as trend analysis, fashion buying, merchandising, new product development and sourcing. Professional links and accreditation: This course is accredited by the Textile Institute (http://www.textileinstitute.org/), a worldwide organisation for textiles, clothing and footwear. This was awarded in June 2017 and is reviewed every five years. The accreditation recognises the quality and excellence of the course’s provision, and that it meets the educational standards required by the relevant specialisations within the Textiles industry. Students who graduate from this course can apply for the professional qualification, Associateship and Chartered Membership of the Textile Institute, after a shorter period of work experience than is usually required, or in some cases directly on graduation. Additional Costs: You'll need to cover the costs of printing and presenting your work during the course. The total cost of this in recent years has been approximately £85.

Qualification requirements

Pass in Diploma Foundation Studies in Art and Design combined with A Level or BTEC qualifications, to total an equivalent of 120 UCAS tariff points.
