Course summary

This stimulating course is designed to give students the theoretical and practical skills needed to enter a career in a neuropharmacology either in an academic institution, a research institute or in the industrial/business sector. To enhance your CV, this course offers a work placement year in the UK or abroad.

Research Methods and Bioethics; Cell Biology and Physiology; Cognitive Neuroscience; Techniques in Macromolecular Analysis; Neurophysiology; Pharmacology; Research Project.

Assessment method

Research project; written assignment; case studies; poster and oral presentations; laboratory reports; formal examinations; skills portfolio.


Entry requirements

UK Honours degree (minimum 2.2) or equivalent in biological subject such as neuroscience, neuropsychology or pharmacology. Applicants with relevant employment experience or other relevant qualifications will also be considered. Applicants whose first language is not English should have an IELTS score of 6.5.
