Course summary
TEF Gold
University of Exeter has opted into the TEF and received a Gold award.
This programme gives you a great opportunity to combine the challenge of exploring the culture and thought of the ancient world with the study of philosophy. For Classical Studies, all texts are usually taught in translation, so you don’t have to study Latin or Greek language modules unless you choose to. In each programme, your study time is divided equally between the two subjects. In Classical Studies and Philosophy, you will study Greek/Roman Philosophy in the first and second years and choose optional modules in Classical Studies. In your final year you will study two modules in Classical Studies and two in Philosophy.
