Course summary
This joint honours course is offered by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and the Department of Computer Science, and is designed to meet the needs of the computing and electronics industries. This course provides full accreditation for the qualification of Chartered Engineer. You will learn how to design and build both hardware and software for all types of computer systems in order to implement applications ranging from medical equipment and autonomous vehicles to finance systems. The Study Abroad course allows you to spend your third year studying abroad at an English-speaking partner university, following a similar curriculum to the one taught in Bristol. Entry is also available by transfer from year two of the MEng Computer Science and Electronics course subject to satisfactory performance. You can tailor your fourth year to suit your interests by choosing an individual project and optional units.
