Working with the latest industry technology, you’ll focus on a combination of core and optional modules including AI, graphics and games architecture to ensure you’re at the top of your game when you embark on your career. Modules

Core modules include: Computational Thinking Algorithms and Data Structures Architectures, Operating Systems and the Cloud Simulation and Artificial Intelligence for Games Programming Extended Reality Development Parallel and Concurrent Programming Games Architecture Optional modules include: Honours Stage Project Communicating and Teaching Computing All modules are subject to availability and this list may change.

Assessment method

You'll be assessed through a combination of written, practical and coursework assessments throughout your degree. Written assessment typically includes exams and multiple choice tests. Practical is an assessment of your skills and competencies. This could include presentations, school experience, work experience or laboratory work. Coursework typically includes essays, written assignments, dissertations, research projects or producing a portfolio of your work.

Entry requirements

Qualification requirements

The foundation year is designed for applicants whose qualifications and experience do not allow direct entry to the undergraduate degree. We expect applicants to demonstrate an experience of a related subject and an aptitude for academic work which may be determined by an essay and/or interview alongside the application. For applicants with Level 3 qualifications, we will usually require a minimum of 80 points. Applicants from outside of the EU who require a foundation year are instead invited to apply for the Undergraduate Foundation Year offered by our partner provider ONCampus Hull tailored to your needs.
