In the fast-paced business world, companies are looking to gain a more competitive global presence. This course is a chance to put yourself ahead of the crowd by developing your knowledge of international business and management and gain valuable experiences during your placement year. This time spent working in business provides you with crucial work experience, which is highly prized and much sought after by employers upon graduation. The course will equip you with the understanding of accounting, finance, culture, marketing, logistics and operations within an international business and how these impact the real world. We’re one of the only UK universities to offer language training on this type of course, giving our students a real advantage when it comes to competing for the best jobs. This course will broaden your industry knowledge and cultural horizons. You will examine topics from a broad, international perspective and have opportunities to gain international experiences. Our BA (Hons) International Business course achieved a 91% student satisfaction rating (National Student Survey, 2022). During your placement year, you can undertake an industry placement, a study abroad experience at a partner university, or a combination of the two. You will even have opportunities to take part in international competitions, and build your transferable skills as you organise NTU’s annual Living, Working and Studying Abroad conference. This course has dual award status with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). EFMD Global has awarded EFMD Programme Accreditation to our suite of undergraduate BA (Hons) International Business courses. A lower offer may be made based on a range of factors, including your background (such as where you live and the school or college you attended), your experiences and individual circumstances (you may have been in care, for example). This is called a contextual offer and we get data from UCAS to make these decisions. NTU offers a student experience like no other, and this approach helps us to find students who have the potential to succeed here, but may have faced barriers that can make it more difficult to access university. We also consider equivalent qualifications and combinations. Please contact Nottingham Trent University Admissions team for further information.
The student satisfaction data is from students surveyed during the Covid-19 pandemic. The number of student respondents and response rates can be important in interpreting the data – it is important to note your experience may be different from theirs. This data will be based on the subject area rather than the specific course. Read more about this data on the Discover Uni website.
