This degree uses high-intensity workshops to develop your acting skills in line with demands of the industry. Each year group works as a tight-knit theatre company who support each other’s development, including writing, directing and producing touring shows. Thomas -Second year, Acting: “The first year was a great introduction to the basics of acting. We learnt about the origins of theatre, Shakespeare and storytelling. We also worked with other students to make short films so we could understand the difference between acting for camera and stage. In our second year we looked at more forms of theatre and went out into the community to do performances to make an impact in the local world. The vast majority of assessments are practical assignments, which are often supported by some written reflection either in the form of a journal, an essay or portfolio. There are no written exams
