Course summary
The certificate in Personal Training and Sport Massage is an introductory higher education course designed to develop your skills as a personal trainer and sport massage therapist. You will improve your knowledge in health and fitness and gain experience working with clients in real situations and context as well as having opportunities to gain vocational awards in fitness, nutrition and massage. You will work with highly experienced lecturers who will also provide individual tutorial support throughout the course. On graduating, you will be ready to enter the health and fitness industry or progress to a BSc degree programme in Sport and Exercise Science.

Assessment method
Whilst the certificate is predominantly assessed through a combination of course work and practical examination, students will also develop an extensive portfolio of professional practice and case study evidence.
