You’ll have the chance to gain a thorough understanding of construction construction techniques and architectural detailing. The aim is for you to be able to apply your expertise in architectural technologies to the design of cost-efficient and sustainable buildings. Why study Architectural Technology?
- Develop the skills to become a creative designer, capable of managing the progress of a construction project, whilst understanding the materials, components, structural systems and environments behind the world’s best buildings.
- We’ll support you to develop expertise in using the communication technologies central to working in the construction industry, such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Modelling (BIM).
- Explore the subject both academically and practically, with a strong emphasis on enterprise and continuing professional development. You'll be well placed to progress in your professional career in a range of architectural and construction-related areas, as well as being prepared for further academic study and research at a higher level.
- The course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists and the Chartered Association of Building Engineers. We've a strong track record of developing graduates who are highly employable and ready for a career in a rapidly changing, varied and diverse occupation.

You will be taught through a series of lectures and tutorials and your assessment will include coursework, presentations and exams.
