Course summary

The LLB Law with Foundation Year, is the first year of a four year undergraduate Law degree which allows students who have not met the required tariff points for the three year LLB degree to study a foundation year in Law at West Herts College before progressing onto Level 4 of the LLB degree at the University of Hertfordshire. This initial year will give students the opportunity to develop their understanding of key legal principles, as well as providing training in core professional legal skills in preparation for their future studies in Law. Students will study eight modules over two semesters, encompassing the English Legal System, Constitutional Law, Tort Law, Contract Law, Criminal Law, Human Rights, Advocacy and Legal Drafting.
