Course summary

The Research Centre in Nondestructive Evaluation (RCNDE) is an Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC)-sponsored collaboration between industry and universities to coordinate research into Non-Destructive evaluation (NDE) technologies. These technologies are crucial to achieving greater integrity and safety performance across all aspects of engineering. Our four-year doctorate programme, EngD, is for new graduates and those who have already worked in industry and combines advanced knowledge and professional development training modules with company-based research. The research may be a single project or a series of linked projects relating to advanced NDE technology. Successful candidates will work closely with their chosen sponsor, normally carrying out the majority of project work at that company.
