Course summary
The purpose of Pearson BTEC Higher Nationals in Construction is to develop students as professional, self-reflecting individuals who are able to meet the demands of employers in the rapidly evolving construction sector and adapt to a constantly changing world. The qualifications also aim to widen access to higher education and enhance the career prospects of those who undertake them. This course is designed for those wishing to progress within the construction industry and aims to give you a solid understanding of the management and leadership roles within this sector. During your studies you will gain the knowledge that underpins a wide range of aspects of construction management, including regulatory, legal, technological, social and economic considerations. Higher Nationals in Construction will give students experience of the breadth and depth of the sector that will prepare them for employment, progression within employment or further study
Modules
During the course you will have the option to study a range of units including: Design principals and application Health, safety and welfare Project management Building information management Applied mathematics Research project. You will also undertake a number of specialist units and a group project.
Assessment method
You will be assessed via a range of methods during the course including written and practical assignments plus classroom tests.
