MATHEMATICS (MASTER OF ARTS):- Mathematics is a vast and ever-growing subject which incorporates successful explorations of numerical, geometrical and logical relationships. Our ambassador scheme gives students the chance to spend time in schools, experiencing teaching at first hand and developing vital workplace skills. - Year 1
|A level||AAB||Must include Mathematics and at least one Arts/Humanities subject. Applicants will receive an offer conditional on attaining AAB. Applicants who achieve AAB are guaranteed entry. Applicants who achieve grades less than AAB but higher than BBB will be considered for entry.|
|Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)||DDD||Acceptable in appropriate subject area. Must also have A-level Mathematics at grade B or above.|
|Access to HE Diploma||M: 30 credits||Acceptable in appropriate subject area. Must also have A-level Mathematics at grade B or above.|
|Scottish Higher||ABBB - AAAAAB||Must include Mathematics, English and at least one further Arts/Humanities subject.|
|International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme||36 points||3 HL subjects at 6,6,5 including Mathematics, English AND a Humanities/Language subject. Whilst HL6 is preferred for English and Humanities/Language subjects, SL6 will be considered for ONE of the subjects.|
SQA applicants entering from S5 are required to achieve AAAA/AAABB by the end of S5. Applicants who achieve less than AAAA/AAABB by the end of S5 but achieved at least ABBB MAY receive a conditional offer, but a decision will not be made on these applications until March once all applications have been reviewed. Conditional offers to these applicants will require them to achieve AAAAAB cumulatively by the end of S6.
