Dance and Performance at The Arden School of Theatre offers a comprehensive programme that explores multiple genres and forms of dance and locates these in contemporary devising and performance structures. The study of technical and creative components of dance is set within the context of a range of appropriate theoretical underpinnings. The aim of the programme is to train and support professional dance artists that are knowledgeable, skilled, creative and employable. The course is fast-paced and heavily practical, encouraging students to explore their individual artistic interests. The course is ideal for those with a passion for dance and a desire for a career in the dance and performance industry. The Arden School of Theatre utilises its working links with the professional community of Manchester and the North West in order allow students the opportunity to network and develop as practitioners and artists. The modules covered in the programme engage students in process of moving from interdisciplinary creative and technical development to skilled individual performers with a unique identity and artistic vision that responds to the demands of the current dance industry.
