Course summary

Business with Human Resource Management encompasses the study of public, private and not-for-profit organisations, both small and large, their management practices and processes, and the changing external environment in which they operate. Studies in Human Resource Management will enhance your understanding of the intricacies and complexities of managing people in the modern workplace, taking a critical perspective on the implications of HR policies and practice for all stakeholders; how technology has changed the meaning of work, what new forms of work and employment relations have emerged as a consequence and the economic, social and ethical implications.

Scotland In 2019-20 the fee level set by the Scottish Government was £1,820. The 2020 fee rate is expected to be confirmed by the Scottish Government in early 2020. Students must apply to the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) for payment of their tuition fees. England/Wales/N Ireland The Rest of UK (RUK) rate is yet to be confirmed and was £9,250 for 2019 entry. For 2020 entry this may increase in line with inflation and will be subject to government limits. EU 2020 entry EU students will be admitted as Scottish/EU fee status students, will retain that status for the duration of their studies, and are eligible for tuition fee support from the Scottish Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS).
