Field trips to regional businesses will give you a real insight into industry. Successful completion of the programme leads to the automatic award of the CMI certificate.

Assessment method

You’ll be assessed by exam and assignments with your major project accounting for a third of the total credits required to complete the course successfully.

Entry requirements

A 2:2 or higher UK Honours Degree or overseas equivalent, with some quantitative content (e.g. engineering or science) or evidence of quantitative abiltiy i.e. A Level Mathematics. Two years experience in an appropriate engineering post is an advantage. Qualifications from outside the UK will also be considered: the course administration office will advise as to whether these qualifications are the equivalent of the level of Honours degree required.
