Course summary
Create digital content, make it work in an interactive environment and distribute it over diverse networks. You’ll work in an intellectually stimulating environment. Our research ranges from computer science to digital media to e-business. You’ll learn to:
- create and manipulate digital video
- build web-based distributed multimedia applications
- produce computer-generated animations
- develop interactive virtual environments.

- studio facilities and professional video-editing systems.
Modules
We’re planning to run these modules in the academic year 2023/24. However, there may be changes to these modules in response to COVID-19, staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum. We’ll make sure to let our applicants know of material changes to modules at the earliest opportunity. Core modules are taken by all students on the course. They give you a solid grounding in your chosen subject and prepare you to explore the topics that interest you most.

Entry requirements
You should have a lower second-class (2.2) undergraduate honours degree or above. You are suited to this course if you have a qualification in computer science, mathematics or the natural sciences, or if you have a media degree and can demonstrate practical computing knowledge. You may also be considered for the course if you have other professional qualifications or experience of equivalent standing.
