Course summary
Want a career that is rewarding and fun? Working with children can offer that. Learn about all aspects of working with children on our degree programmes. The BA Hons in Early Childhood Studies aims to produce graduates who deploy systematic reasoning and demonstrate effective personal and professional skills. The scope of the programme continues developing theoretical knowledge of child development and refinement of individual pedagogies alongside strategic understanding of working with children 0-8 in all sectors. Reflecting the diversity of the local sector, the degree aims to enable flexibility of professional development appropriate to different settings, improving participants’ employability and effectiveness at work. In addition, it will enable students to progress to postgraduate and professional qualifications.

Assessment method
The course is assessed through a range of methods which will enable all students to optimise their performance. The assessment methods include reports, essays, reviews and a padlet. In addition, you will complete an individual research project.
