Qualification requirements

- Applicants should demonstrate the ability to undertake level 6 final year undergraduate degree study through: - Successful completion of their FdA Learning and Teaching at Middlesex University with classification of ‘Pass with Merit’ or ‘Pass with Distinction’ - Successful completion of an appropriate non-Middlesex Foundation Degree or an equivalent qualification at Level 5 (240 CATS points) with classification of ‘Pass with Merit’ or ‘Pass with Distinction’ or equivalent. - Successful application to Middlesex University for accreditation of prior experiential learning. Suitable applicants can gain the required accreditation by taking Middlesex University module WBH 3615 ‘Review of Learning’. - Applicants should have GCSE English and Maths at minimum grade 4 or grade C or equivalent to support their study at Level 6, as well as to support learners in school. - Equivalent qualifications are welcomed and maturity and experience are taken into account when considering entry requirements. - Applicants should have relevant work experience. They are expected to be working or volunteering in a relevant role to support learning and teaching; this should typically be 2.5 – 4 days per week. - Applicants require an employer's reference from their headteacher (or equivalent) stating their support for the applicant’s study on the programme.
