Course summary
Our Business top-up course will help you to achieve a full BSc (Hons) degree in Business. You will build on the knowledge and skills you have attained from previous study and expand your learning of business processes with imaginative and interesting lectures on a wide range of business careers. You will use your problem solving approach to critically analyse the development and implementation of business tactics and strategies, with particular consideration to the constantly changing business environment. You will learn about a range of strategic concepts, tools and theories, and also improve your written and oral communication skills during report writing and presentations. Working industry case studies and examples will give you a real insight into the business world and will prepare you for a career in the business world. What previous qualifications or experience do I need? Successful completion of an HND or Foundation Degree or equivalent accreditation (240 CAT points); if English is not your first language, an IELTS score of 6.5 with a 6 in writing; proof of qualifications; a satisfactory reference. What can I do after completing this course? Once you have graduated, you will have a diverse range of transferable skills that will enable you to either, start your career, or further it with promotion, in this exciting industry. You may choose to specialise in a particular business function or role, or you could choose to enter into further study on MA programmes or complete a Post Graduate Certificate of Education.
Modules
This one year top-up course will fine-tune your innovative approaches to business management operational systems. You will be able to explore traditional and modern methods of communication, learn how to manage an organisation, and put together a strategic plan. Optional modules include employment law or marketing, giving you the opportunity to focus on a business specialism, should you wish to pursue a particular career path in the industry. Core modules:
