Course summary
The course combines an innovative approach to the chronological study of English literature with a rich and comprehensive range of other interests. The History element of the programme is distinctive in that it provides students with the opportunity to engage with a wide range of chronological periods and explore differing territories, whilst providing them with core linking themes, most notably, through strands entitled Concepts and Debates and Sources and Methods This Degree is validated by the University of Lincoln.

Qualification requirements
GCSEs at grade C or above required. No previous formal study of drama, the novel or poetry is required, as the skills needed will be developed during the first year of the course. Applications from students without the traditional A level or equivalent qualifications are particularly welcomed.
