We are seeking accreditation for this course to be a HTQ. This course in construction site management offers a course that is not only practically-oriented but is aligned to the occupational standard of a construction site manager, meaning you will be well prepared to enter employment as an assistant site manager, junior site manager etc. upon completion. This course is employer driven and is designed to develop the skills and knowledge needed to secure a career in the construction industry. It includes a year-long project unit that will allow you to work on a real-world project and apply what you learn in the classroom to a real-world situation. The University is one of a few providers across the UK to offer this new Higher Technical Qualification and is therefore part of the founding members. The staff base at the University has an excellent mix of academic and industry experience and you will benefit from excellent teaching and great facilities. The University has been offering qualifications in construction for over 15 years, and members of staff have strong research and scholarly backgrounds as well as practical experience in the industry and we work closely with over twenty five construction organisations across the UK and provide opportunities to hear from industry guest speakers, field visits and trips to industry expos. All of the means that you will receive not only a high quality educational experience, but also a chance to network with industry colleagues and prepare for your transition into employment.
