What you will study This course is defined by its focus on developing you as a forward-looking, creative and business-savvy professional. The first half will give you thorough knowledge of management practice and theory. You’ll cover a variety of fascinating areas such as organisational theory, behaviour and practice, strategy, marketing, operations, and accounting and finance. The second half of the course will equip you with practical business knowledge that will appeal to prospective employers. You will learn about cutting edge developments and trends in business and management. You’ll take part in projects designed to enable you to demonstrate your academic and professional potential in collaboration with industry professionals, work on consulting assignments, and gain international exposure. Placement opportunity Both our 15-month and 24-month MSc Management courses enable you to spend time working in the industry. 15-month with placement: If you choose and secure a place at one of our partner organisations, you’ll complete nine months of study at Surrey and spend up to six months gaining professional work experience at your placement company. This means you will complete your course in 15 months studying full-time. Two-year with placement: If you choose and secure a place at one of our partner organisations, you’ll complete 12 months of study at Surrey and spend up to 12 months gaining professional work experience at your placement company. This means you will complete your course in two years studying full-time. If you decide not to complete a placement or do not secure a place, you’ll complete nine months of teaching followed by three months working on your final project. This means you will complete your course in 12 months studying full-time.

Entry requirements

A minimum of a 2:2 UK honours degree, or a recognised equivalent international qualification. English language requirements IELTS Academic: 7.0 overall with 6.5 in each element.
