We are pleased to confirm that Writtle University College and ARU (Anglia Ruskin University) have joined together as of 29 February 2024. Writtle’s full range of Higher and Further Education courses will continue to be delivered on site at the new ARU Writtle campus, enhanced by resources available at nearby ARU Chelmsford If you are starting your course in September 2024, your degree will be awarded by ARU. Find out more about ARU, including our recent Gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework, at www.aru.ac.uk New for September 2024, our Diploma of Higher Education in Health Wellbeing and Community, provides the opportunity to develop skills relevant to this expanding sector of the health sector, through a Level 5 accredited programme. Developed with industry, our programme can be studied on a full-time over 2 years or part-time or modular basis. The course is suitable for school/college leavers as well as those already in employment looking to increase their skills and knowledge through recognised qualifications. During the programme, students will gain a greater understanding of the history, strategy and perspective of health and wellbeing within the community, health inequalities and their impact, as well as person centred approaches to care in the sector, including the development of social prescribing and health promotion initiatives. In Year 2 (if studied full-time), students will develop a deeper understanding of the impact of lifestyle choices for lifelong health, including the positive benefit of nutrition and physical exercise. At Level 5, students will apply their learning to real life settings through work placements and collaborative projects.
