Course summary
If you are looking to study for a degree in Theology on completion of your A levels, or as a more mature student, we offer you the advantages of a course in a confessional Christian context which does not assume that you want to prepare for formal Christian ministry of some kind. It allows you to study some of the same biblical, theological, historical, missional, ethical and pastoral topics as vocational students with further options such as philosophy or sociology of religion. There is no church placement.

International applicants
Spurgeon’s College welcomes applications from international students for our full-time undergraduate and full-time postgraduate courses. All prospective international students who wish to live in the UK whilst they study at Spurgeon’s College, as well as EU, EEA and Swiss nationals coming to the UK on or after 1st January 2021, will need to apply to the ‘Student route’, the UK’s new points based immigration system. All international students will need to meet the normal academic entry requirements and provide Spurgeon’s College with documented evidence showing their eligibility to reside and study in the UK. International students wishing to apply for a visa to study in the UK will require a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) from Spurgeon’s College before they can be enrolled on their course or enter the UK to study. Before Spurgeon’s College can issue the CAS, we will require documented evidence to prove the student meets the academic entry requirements as well as other financial requirements (see section on ‘Financial requirements for international students’). The deadline for all international applications is 30 June. Please be aware that the last date the College can issue a CAS is 31st August.
