TEF Bronze
University of Westminster, London has opted into the TEF and received a Bronze award.
Research focuses on 2 areas: documentary theory and practice, and non-Hollywood cinema. Through AHRC funding, conferences and strategic post doctoral appointments, the group has built a strong presence in documentary research. International research projects on South Asian and Southeast Asian cinema/visual arts are being developed with overseas partners.

Entry requirements
Applicants should have a minimum classification of 2.1 in their first degree or equivalent and preferably a master's degree (or masters degree pending). Applicants whose first degree has not been studied in English should have IELTS 6.5 overall and 6.0 in all elements. Applicants need to submit a research proposal of 2,000–3,500 words. It should include a title of proposed research, identify discipline and formulate research questions clearly. It should also include proposed research methodology and plan of work and time schedule. References are normally required and if not provided with your application will be requested at a later date.
