Assessment method

Assessment is progressive, allowing you to build on previously acquired knowledge and skills, with feedback and feedforward used to effectively support and facilitate such development. We provide tutorials, interim crits, final reviews, assessment literacy, and online resources designed to support you in attaining relevant skills to undertake the assessments. Assessment methods include: design projects, portfolio assessment, coursework, case study reports, computer-based exercises, individual and group presentations, timed assignments, written dissertation and essays to promote an understanding of good practice is supporting claims with evidence and referencing, role-play tasks in all design modules’ live briefs to promote experience and reflective skills.


Entry requirements

An undergraduate degree in Architecture (normally ARB Part 1 or equivalent degree) or a Part 1 ARB validated (prescribed) award. A portfolio that evidences potential for postgraduate study is also required. International applicants with First Degrees in the subject area are encouraged to apply.
