This programme inducts students into HE study of care with a generic programme delivered at levels 3 and 4. This aims to smooth the transition into HE for applicants from a non-academic background as well as to widen the scope of entry requirement to the Health Portfolio. Successful completion of the programme provides an entry qualification into a range of UWTSD care related diploma and bachelors programmes in, for example, Health and Social Care, Health Management, Health and Care for Children and Young People, Nursing Studies and Health.

Year One – Level 4 (Cert HE) • Developing Skills for Employment (20 credits; compulsory) • Introduction to Health, Care and Education (20 credits; compulsory) • Preparing for Research (20 credits; compulsory) • Preparing for Success in Higher Education (20 credits; compulsory) • Problem Solving in Health and Care (20 credits; compulsory).
