Course summary
Why Computing (Level 6)? Our Computing (Level 6) course enables you to top up your existing computing qualification, such as a Diploma of Higher Education, HND or Foundation Degree, into a full BSc honours degree. Tailoring your modules to suit your individual skills and career goals, you’ll be able to specialise in a range of areas such as forensic computing, cyber security, human and computer interaction, web design, 3D effects, gaming, programming and animation. You’ll get the chance to develop an individual research project and opportunities to capitalise on our strong links with industry names such as CGI and Microsoft. You’ll draw on the expertise of experienced lecturers and graduate with eligibility to become an associate member of the BCS (British Computer Society). Our students can take advantage of cutting-edge facilities, with industry-standard tools and operating systems. Our computing and technology suite also features a dedicated cyber lab where you can practice your skills in a digitally protected environment, purpose-built break-out areas for workshop sessions and the latest games consoles and screens in social areas. Qualification requirements
Applicants should possess an HND, Diploma of Higher Education or Foundation degree in the field of Computing. Grade 4/C in GCSE English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent) are normally required.
English language requirements
International students will need to produce evidence of an acceptable score on an approved English language test such as IELTS. We run pre-sessional English language courses to help you prepare for undergraduate or postgraduate study.
