Qualifications in travel and tourism can take you far and wide. With our Higher National Certificate, you will study six areas of specialism to enhance your employability skills in this industry. From aviation to events management there is a range of career opportunities you can take on following completion of this course. This Higher National Certificate course is a fantastic opportunity to develop a range of essential Travel and Tourism management skills to further career opportunities in your chosen sector. Each unit within this course caters to the increasing need for high quality professional and technical education at level 4 (equal to Yr1 of a Hons Degree), providing students with a clear pathway to employment or progressing onto further higher education. The blended structure of this course means you attend one full day at college whilst balancing your significant proportion of your studies at home. In addition, it is expected that you will gain vocational experience through part-time work as well as engage in independent research into the topic under investigation, an essential part of completing the programme. On successful completion of the Higher National Certificate, you may progress on to a Higher National Diploma (equivalent to the second year of a degree). Following successful completion of the HND you may apply to University of your choice to complete a one year Honours Degree top up. This will require you meeting the entry requirements for 'top up' set by the accepting University.

Travel and tourism business leadership and management for service industries

Assessment method

During this course you will be assessed on all units through a combination of case studies, presentations and written assignments.
