Course summary
Explore traditional and contemporary ways of working and challenge the parameters of illustration as you develop your own voice, on our BA (Hons) Illustration degree course at UCA Farnham. Illustration at Farnham has an illustrious legacy with alumni that includes illustrator Paul Blow, interior designer Petronella Hall and TV legend Tony Hart. You’ll enjoy an individualised programme of study that’s also outward looking as you work on live briefs that have local, national, and international reach, and take part in competitions such as the Puffin/Penguin prize, the V&A Student Illustration Awards and World Illustration Awards. Here, Illustration is based on the key facets of research, experimentation, criticality and placing it within a variety of social and industry contexts, and you’ll be taught by a team of tutors who are award-winning illustrators and active in research. If you need a Tier 4 student visa to study in the UK, you will need to take an IELTS test, and achieve an overall score of 6.0 and a minimum score of 5.5 for each element (Listening, Reading, Speaking, Writing).
