Our degrees with foundation years are available in a range of subject areas at our High Wycombe campus. You can start your foundation year in January 2021 and finish in July 2021. This route allows you to accelerate your journey into higher education, whilst developing your confidence in degree-level learning. Foundation year acts as an additional year to your degree, and during this time you will be able to develop new skills and knowledge in your area, home in on your interest and talents, and get an introduction to your chosen course. Once you pass your foundation year, you are guaranteed a place onto your chosen course and will enter the first year of the degree programme, starting September 2021. In a rapidly changing technological world where Artificial Intelligence becomes more widespread, it is imperative that businesses use data to support their decision-making to ensure the success of their organisation. This programme equip graduates with technical ability, data and human discipline and prepares them for this type of scenario. This course blends academic study from both Business Management and Computing in order to help you enhance your employability and future-proof your career. You will develop skills such as problem solving, empathy and creativity which will ensure that you are highly sought after by employers and which AI computers cannot achieve. The course maintains a good balance of theory and practice, providing you with opportunities to apply knowledge into live briefs and real projects where possible. You will acquire a wide range of skills and competencies that are useful for efficiently handling real-life, practical problems. You will also develop your ability to think critically and will be able to analyse and evaluate solutions to complex scenarios.

Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements for the 3-year undergraduate programme, or those who do not feel fully prepared for a Level 4 course, will be considered for the 4-year programme including a Foundation Year.
