Business Management (Extended) (with Placement) at Harper Adams University - UCAS

Course summary

Extended degree programmes are a means of accessing degree study should you not meet the entry requirements for honours degree programmes. These five-year courses replace some of our former foundation degree and extended foundation degree programmes. Candidates will be assessed at the end of their first year of study and progress to Year 1 of an Honours Degree (BSc Hons). A pass at 40% gives straight progression to the BSc (Hons) Business Management route that the student is on (transfer to another route can be requested but is at the course manager's discretion) A pass at at least 60% permits transfer to any BSc (Hons) route, provided any additional requirements (such as work experience) are met.. Businesses are constantly having to face threats of competitors in a rapidly changing globalised world where the technology that managers rely on is also changing at an ever faster pace. New products and services are launched into already crowded markets on a regular basis and an understanding of business and marketing techniques to ensure success in the market place is essential. An Extended BSc in Business Management will prepare students for these encounters and give them the skills to develop opportunities in any sector. Students will develop a range of skills to work both in a team and independently and to demonstrate competence and attitudes required in a professional working life. The course prepares students for a career in business.
