Events Management We bring studying Events Management to life with inspiring and real experiences, interactive learning, access and exposure to the industry, and an opportunity to develop and manage your own events. You will gain much more than subject knowledge; we will help you develop the extra skills that employers are seeking, and you will leave us with experiences that will give you an edge at interview and in the workplace. We work closely with the Association of Events Management Educators and key industry stakeholders to ensure our course is current and relevant. Volunteering is an important element of your course that will help you to stand out when you enter the industry, and we offer an exciting range of opportunities such as Christmas parades, regional and national sporting events, music festivals and cultural events. Everything you study will prepare you to succeed in your future career. You’ll begin planning and delivering a real event as part of a team in your second year, as well as having the chance to shape your career path through a five-week work placement that suits your personal interests and ambitions. You will also have the chance to undertake an optional year-long placement after your second year, which really brings your course to life and will enhance your graduate employment prospects. International Tourism Management Explore one of the world’s leading industries. Discover the benefits of sustainable tourism, develop hands-on tourism skills and plan your future in tourism. We bring International Tourism Management to life with inspiring and real experiences, and our course is accredited by the Tourism Management Institute (TMI). We are passionate about sustainable and responsible tourism management and you will learn, in creative ways, how tourism businesses and destinations are managed to be successful, sustainable and competitive. Your transformation from new student to future tourism leader will begin from day one. Chester is one of the UK’s leading historic tourism destinations so it is the ideal place to explore tourism marketing, development and management ideas that can be applied across the globe, especially given the challenges of the past few years. Benefit from our links with industry experts and exciting placement opportunities. You’ll have the chance to shape your career with a work placement in your second year. And if you’d like to broaden your horizons even further, how does a year at Walt Disney World in the sunshine state sound? Just one of our many opportunities for a year’s study abroad, or an industry placement that will enhance your Tourism degree and your employment prospects.
