The computing and digital technology sector in the Uk is growing year on year and now has a turnover of around £184bn and employs 1.1 million people. This course will provide you with the skills you need to succeed in the digital technology and software development sector, helping you to find work in this exciting fast paced industry. Our course in software development will help you to develop skills and devise practical solutions to the art of solving real world problems through software solutions. There is a strong emphasis on the practical skills required to gain employment in software development. As well as practical skills in programming you will also cover areas such as databases, web and mobile app development, user experience design, graphics and software testing. We will provide with the technical tools and knowledge to develop software for a variety of applications. You will also learn about the practical and theoretical applications of computing and principles behind software development, including the design and development cycle.

You will assessed in a variety of ways including: practical tasks, portfolios, essays, case studies and presentations.
