Course summary
This Pearson BTEC Level 4 Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Applied Sciences (Biology) will help to develop you as a professional, self-reflecting individual who is able to meet the demands of employers in the Applied Sciences Sector and adapt to a constantly changing world. This course will equip you with relevant skills and knowledge for a range of careers, including nursing, lab technician, scientific researcher, chemist and biologist. What careers could this lead to? Nursing is a popular choice of career, however places at universities are limited and highly competitive. Completing 120 credits (L4 HNC) or 240 credits (L5 HND) in Applied Sciences can help you to stand out from the competition and may even allow you enter into the second or third years of some degree programmes* This course will last 33 weeks, two days per week. Lessons have been scheduled for Wednesday and Thursdays, 9:15am-4:30pm. An additional 10-15 hours per week of independent study time is recommended.
